Visits and Visitors

At Strand Primary Academy we believe in supporting the children’s learning with wonderful experiences that will bring the learning to life. We do this through the inviting visitors into school or visiting places that are related to our current topics in order to give the children first hand experiences to support their learning and development.

This Year we are planning . . .

EYFS – Asda, Post Office, farm, the beach, the park.



Year 1 – the woods, the beach, farm, a dinosaur experience.



Year 2 – Wilderspin, Victorian beach, a pretend plane ride, a Viking experience and a Great Fire of London workshop.



Year 3 – Fishing Heritage, Cleethorpes Sea Defences, Egyptian workshop.

Year 4 – Swimming, Viking experience, chocolate experience

Year 5 – Dallowgill, a space experience.



Year 6 – Dallowgill, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Hull University.
